Who Can Join?
Explorer Scouts is open to young people aged 14 to 18. Whether you’ve been part of Scouting before or are brand new to it, you’re welcome to join us!
How to Join
Becoming a member of our Explorer Scout Unit is simple. Here’s how you can get started:
- Fill out our online interest form below, and we’ll get in touch with more information.
- Visit one of our meetings. You’re welcome to come along to a session and meet the group before deciding to join.
- Register your membership. Once you’ve decided to join, we’ll guide you through the membership process and explain any uniform and equipment requirements.
Parent and Guardian Information
We understand that joining a new group is an important decision for both young people and their families. We’re happy to meet with parents and guardians to discuss any concerns or answer questions. We encourage parents to get involved with the unit as volunteers, helping with activities and events.
Safety is our top priority. All leaders are fully trained, and we follow strict safeguarding protocols to ensure the well-being of all members.
Fees & Membership Costs
Joining the Explorers comes with a small membership fee to help cover the cost of activities, equipment, and trips. We aim to keep costs affordable, and we provide support for families where needed. Membership includes:
